Rangers target Kevin Nisbet justified the transfer speculation on Saturday afternoon.
The Dunfermline striker netted a hat-trick in just 31 minutes before adding a fourth later in the game. Dunfermline beat Partick Thistle 5-1 in the Scottish Championship and Nisbet was on fire against his former club.
Nisbet has been in exciting form this season since leaving Raith Rovers. He scored 34 in 46 for Raith and he is replicating his goalscoring performances at a higher level this season.

His four-goal haul against Partick took his total tally to 15 goals in just 21 games this season. If Rangers sent scouts to check on the 22-year-old this weekend, they surely would have been impressed.
In mid-November, a report by The Herald suggested that Rangers wanted to sign Nisbet. The Gers have been watching the young Scottish striker as a potential option to bolster their strikeforce.
After scoring four goals on Saturday, Nisbet might have earned himself a place on the Rangers January wishlist.
TBR’s view
Nisbet would be a risky signing but he is clearly a natural goalscorer. Like Lawrence Shankland, his goalscoring exploits in the lower leagues have caught the eye of Scotland’s heavyweights.
Dunfermline is probably the best club for him at the moment; his goals have put them in play-off contention. But he will attract bids if this goalscoring form continues in December.
