Reported Glasgow Rangers target Lyndon Dykes has told PLZ Soccer that he feels he could make the step up to Ibrox were he to join the “massive club”.
According to a report in the Scottish Sun from mid-May, Steven Gerrard’s Rangers are tracking the Livingston striker with a view to taking him to Ibrox.
Dykes enjoyed a superb breakout season in 2019-20, turning in a number of impressive displays for the Doonhammers and claiming 12 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

Speculation linking Dykes with Rangers increased after the striker unveiled a blue haircut on social media.
This was rubbished by club colleague Marvin Bartley, however, who said just a case of the 24-year-old’s “live-wire” personality.
“Lyndon has some absolutely shocking looks – blue hair isn’t even the worst,” Bartley is quoted by the Daily Record as saying.
“I read about it being a ‘come and get me plea’ to Rangers but he’s just bored, like the rest of us, and is too much of a live-wire for his own good.”
Even though Livi boss Gary Holt says no offers have been made for Dykes, the player himself addressed the speculation, albeit stopping short of a come-get-me plea.
He told PLZ Soccer: “I don’t see why I couldn’t step into a club like Rangers, obviously they are a massive club in Scotland.
“I back myself 100 per cent and if I did happen to go anywhere I would do the best I can, learn off the players they have, the manager and once I got in that environment I’d put my head down, work hard and be the striker the club needs or the position the manager needs.”
TBR View:
Dykes, a tall target man with raw power, aggression, a superb engine and a proven goalscoring record in Scotland, would definitely be a good option for Rangers – and he’s reported to cost a relatively modest £2million.
Billy Dodds recently told the Scottish Sun that he’d be “the perfect buy for Rangers and the type of player that Gerrard is going to need if he is to stop Celtic”.
With Dykes himself now saying he fancies himself to succeed at Ibrox were he to move there, here’s hoping the club pursues with their reported interest in the 6ft 2in goal machine.
