Rangers are keen to sign Maritimo midfielder Josip Vukovic this summer, according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, as quoted by the Daily Record.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a switch to Ibrox previously and this time around face competition from Lazio and Sassuolo.
Boss Steven Gerrard is keen to bolster his ranks in the summer. His team have ended the campaign without silverware and he will hope to buck that trend next season.

Vukovic could cost Rangers in the region of £800,000; making him well within their budget for next season.
A holding midfielder, the Croatian is strong in the tackle and boasts a keen eye for a pass. His experience in the middle of the park would certainly benefit a relatively young Rangers team.
The interest at this stage is not concrete and it remains to be seen whether Gerrard will enter the bidding.
TBR Verdict
Vukovic won’t be a household name to Rangers supporters and his arrival would represent an element of intrigue.
That said, he has a decent season in Portugal and that should see him quickly up to scratch in the SPL.

The Gers could do with some steel in midfield and Vukovic would certainly provide that. He has collected five yellows and one red card this season, so he likes the physical side of the game.
Rangers supporters will want some stellar recruits added and Gerrard will be mindful of that. For £800,000 though, Vukovic represents a small risk that seems to be worth taking.
