‘Really impressed’: Rangers fans react to performance of Jordan Jones in Northern Ireland win

The 24-year-old is on his way to Ibrox next season.

Northern Ireland made secured a 1-0 win over Belarus last night, making it four consecutive wins in their bid to qualify for Euro 2020.

Paddy McNair scored the decisive goal for Michael O’Neill’s men who have Netherlands and Germany to come in their group.

One of the team’s standout players last night was Rangers summer signing Jordan Jones.

The left-winger was energetic and looked dangerous throughout the contest, proving to be one of Ireland’s main attacking outlets.

Jones signed a pre-contract agreement at the Gers back in January (BBC Sport). He finished the season with Kilmarnock, however, claiming four goals and four assists from the campaign.

The 24-year-old is one of O’Neill’s most important players and last night only served to enhance that. His trickery caused the Belarussian defenders all sorts of problems and Rangers fans will be hoping to see that in action next season.

Jones claimed the assist for McNair’s winner last night and he will be under no illusions that he needs to contribute more at Rangers during 2019/20.

The Gers supporters were certainly happy with Jones’ display last night.

They took to Twitter to drool over his dominant display and can’t wait to see him in action at Ibrox.
