Rangers ensured bragging rights over rivals Celtic during the last Old Firm clash of the 2018/19 campaign. Steven Gerrard’s men ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from James Tavernier and Scott Arfield.
The Gers were worthy winners on an afternoon with nothing to play for other than pride. Next season Gerrard will hope to get his team closer to winning trophies and ultimately reclaiming their place at the summit of Scottish football.
As is usually the case in Old Firm contests, the game was a real blood and thunder clash. Jon Flanagan, in particular, was lucky to stay on the pitch after appearing to elbow Hoops captain Scott Brown.

Brown was kept relatively quiet during the game and that was down in no small part to the performance from Gers midfielder Glen Kamara.
The £45k signing from Dundee was in stunning form and he is looking a really astute signing for the Gers considering the paltry sum they paid for his services.
A 23-year-old Finland international, Kamara is making the defensive midfield role his own at Ibrox. Gerrard must be amazed that the club managed to get such an assured player for a such a steal.

On current form, he could save the Rangers boss millions this summer. Kamara is fast becoming an established member of the team and next season looks like being another big campaign for the ex-Arsenal trainee.
