Rangers have completed the signing of Oldham Athletic defender George Edmundson, according to the club’s official website.
The 21-year-old has been courted all summer by the Gers and after a long chase, the club has now announced the new addition.
Edmundson made 54 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring two goals.

At 6ft 1in he is an uncompromising central defender and bolsters Gerrard’s team in an area that was in need of some reinforcements.
Gareth McAuley has departed Ibrox, whilst Joe Worrall has returned to Nottingham Forest after the end of his loan spell.
Given his age, there is still plenty of potential in Edmundson and it will be interesting to see what progress he makes at Ibrox.
Gerrard proved with Worrall last season that he isn’t afraid to give youngsters a chance in his team.

Edmundson has penned a four-year deal with the Gers and his signing has been met with excitement from the club’s supporters.
