Rangers fans were probably not disappointed when the club got rid of Michael O’Halloran in the summer. The Scottish winger joined Australian side Melbourne City after a controversial end to his time at Ibrox.
After losing his place in the Rangers squad he was loaned out to former club St Johnstone last season. He then committed a sin in the Rangers fans eyes. He attended and supported Celtic at Scottish Cup final last season, leaving Rangers fans completely incensed.
Steven Gerrard, therefore, allowed his exit and he is now hopeful of making a name for himself in the A-League.

But Rangers fans will not be shedding a tear for how things have gone so far.
Just before the A-League season was due to begin the winger suffered a hamstring strain, ruling him out of action for up to 12 weeks.
It means he has not yet played a part in the A-League season for his new club, his only two appearances coming off the bench in the FFA Cup.
He recently returned to light training and the hope is clearly to get him back around the New Year.
But Rangers fans are unlikely to shed a tear for his misfortune.
