Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham is a wanted man. The Frenchman is wanted by both Marseille and Porto, with France Football suggesting Celtic would be willing to sell for £15 million.
That certainly seems a big sum of money considering Ntcham’s indifferent form last season. For Rangers fans, it will certainly highlight just how impressive a signing Glen Kamara was in January.
The Finland international cost just £50,000 from Dundee, as reported by the Evening Telegraph. He has since gone on to establish himself at Rangers, including against Celtic on two occasions.
Kamara played in both a 2-1 loss and 2-0 win over Celtic but on both occasions looked the far superior player to the seemingly disinterested Ntcham.
So to hear Ntcham is valued at £15 million will no doubt have Rangers considering their new Ibrox hero worthy of a similar valuation. There have been murmurings of interest from Brighton this week, as reported by TEAMtalk.
Rangers are obviously not going to sell Kamara this summer. However, given his age, form and ability, there is no reason if they did that Kamara would not be worth just as much as Ntcham.
Steven Gerrard has certainly found himself a gem at Ibrox and Kamara will hopefully continue such form next season.
