Rangers fans will love what WWE superstar Drew McIntyre has planned for Chris Sutton
Rangers fans would pack out Ibrox to see the ‘Scottish Psychopath’ take on the BT Sport pundit.
Has Chris Sutton finally bitten off more than he can chew?
It is WrestleMania weekend and whilst football is currently in lockdown (apart from in Belarus) the world of sports entertainment and professional wrestling continues to trundle on.
One of the main events of this weekend’s WrestleMania 36 is the WWE Heavyweight Championship bout between Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar.
Ayr-born McIntyre is a big Rangers fan and in conversation with BT Sport yesterday suggested Celtic favourites Sutton and Scott Brown go head-to-head, with the winner facing him at Hampden Park.

The Rangers-daft wrestler, who studied at Glasgow Caledonian University, then got a response from Sutton, who seemed to poke the bear, calling McIntyre a ‘leotard-wearing, chubby shopped, girly-hair’.
The Rangers favourite was quick to respond with some fairly decent patter. He asked if Sutton was going to ‘hide in someone else’s shadow’ to avoid a fight, like he did with former Celtic team-mate Henrik Larsson. Sutton later responded, comparing him to former Ibrox favourite Lorenzo Amoruso.
“Big Man” are you going to fight your own battles or hide in someone else’s shadow like you did with Henrik? @chris_sutton73 https://t.co/fgPR5ntUKs

McIntyre then wondered just how Sutton might handle his finishing move, the ‘Claymore’, sharing a video of the ex-Hoops striker being flattened by a Stephen Craigan tackle.
The banter is strong… But careful @chris_sutton73, we’ve all seen you fold like a chair before, imagine what a Claymore will do https://t.co/T5GLW9KiXH pic.twitter.com/SKqVoZdIVn

Sutton is certainly one of the more unpopular figures when it comes to the Rangers fanbase. Undoubtedly you could pack out Ibrox to see the pundit go face-to-face with the 6ft 5in, 265lb, ‘Scottish Psychopath’.
Rangers fans can certainly dream.
