Borna Barisic completed 90 minutes in the draw to St Johnstone on Saturday in the Scottish Premiership – and many Rangers fans on Twitter were raging with the defender.

The Light Blues missed a huge opportunity in the league, as they were held to a 0-0 stalemate at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard’s team are five points adrift of runaway leaders Celtic, who have a game in hand on them.

The Gers really needed victory against St Johnstone to apply some pressure in the title race, but it looks a sizeable task to seriously challenge Brendan Rodgers’ side now.

Some Rangers fans believe that defender Barisic was one of the main problems and that he dropped a poor display against St Johnstone.

The 26-year-old left-back was not tested too much defensively, but going forward he was sloppy and is not always the most confident on the ball.

He was a popular summer signing at Ibrox when he first arrived, but the Croatian has been inconsistent at times and injury has not helped his cause.

Barisic is competing with teammate Andy Halliday for the full-back position and it will be intriguing to see who starts the next fixture.
