Ross McCrorie has been left out of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers starting eleven for the past four league matches – and Rangers fans want him recalled to face Celtic on Sunday.
McCrorie, 21, has failed to start in the last seven games for Rangers. He came on in the 4-0 win over Dundee, but that has been his only outing since February 16 when he started the 0-0 draw with St. Johnstone.
The Scotland Under-21 international has been a revelation since being moved into holding midfield from centre-back. His composure and ability to dictate the tempo of play from holding midfield have shone through.

Against Celtic at Parkhead, Rangers face an uphill task. A loss to Neil Lennon’s side, and Rangers will sit a whopping 13 points behind the Scottish champions with only seven league games to play.
It means Gerrard may opt to give his Rangers side a defensive outlook in midfield. Playing McCrorie would certainly do that. Last time out against the Hoops, McCrorie played the entire 90 minutes in the 1-0 win.
Rangers fans have taken to Twitter in a bid to convince Gerrard to start McCrorie, as they believe including the Gers academy product will give the Teddy Bears the best chance of avoiding defeat – and perhaps picking up a win.
