A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that the Gers need to look at Lyndon Dykes after his performance on Sunday played its part in Steven Gerrard’s men hitting top spot in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers went into their clash with Hamilton knowing that any points would take them top. That was because Celtic had lost against Livingston earlier in the day.

Livi won 2-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena. And it was Dykes who played a crucial role in the victory, scoring the second goal with a brilliant finish.
The Australian latched onto a long ball and lobbed his effort over Fraser Forster to end 10-man Celtic’s unbeaten run at the start of the domestic season.

Rangers fans are well aware of the problems that Dykes can cause. Gerrard’s men won against Gary Holt’s side in the Scottish League Cup towards the end of last month.
But it was not an easy night for the Gers, and the visitors were arguably lucky not to have a player sent off themselves. Filip Helander brought Dykes down when he was nearly through on goal, but the referee decided that no foul had been committed. Replays showed that Helander was fortunate.
And with the young striker now producing a performance that caused Celtic all sorts of problems, plenty of Rangers supporters have now suggested that they would like to see the striker targeted in January.
They believe that he is destined to leave Livi in the near future. And several have claimed that he could definitely do a job as cover for Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Dykes’s performance against the Hoops…
