Rangers were left stunned by Aberdeen at Ibrox on Tuesday night as Derek McInnes’ side tactically outsmarted Steven Gerrard’s men to win 2-0 – and many Rangers fans want Graeme Shinnie signed.
The Aberdeen captain was instrumental in helping the Dons beat Rangers. Goals from Niall McGinn and Connor McLennan knocked Rangers out, but it was their organisation and work rate that nullified the Gers.
Shinnie, 27, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Rangers. His contract at Pittodrie is in its final stages, and is set to expire in a couple of months – making him available for a pre-contract agreement.

Former Celtic midfielder Si Ferry suggested that Rangers may sign Shinnie this summer, while BT Sport presenter Darrell Currie has also allured to the possibility of Shinnie pulling on a Light Blue jersey next season.
Rangers fans watched on as Shinnie guided his side to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, leaving with Rangers with no choice but to focus on the Scottish Premiership. They have knocked Rangers out of both cups.
Having watched Shinnie dominate Rangers midfield on Tuesday night, many Gers supporters are desperate to see their club complete a deal to sign Shinnie – who has clocked up 181 Dons appearances since joining in 2015.
