Rangers fans talk reports Gers have agreed to sell midfielder for record fee
Roma and Rangers have reportedly agreed a fee of £17million for Ianis Hagi in the January window – and Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter.
Hagi, 22, has caught the eye ever since completing a move to Rangers. The Romania international had a hand in 23 goals for the Gers last season.
The ex-Fiorentina ace, son of footballing legend Gheorghe, scored eight goals for Rangers and laid on a further 15 assists under Steven Gerrard.
Now, Jose Mourinho is keen. The Portuguese gaffer was linked with both Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos while Tottenham boss.
Clearly, he is still an admirer of players at Ibrox – Hagi being the latest. The report claims Mourinho is keen on luring the playmaker to Roma.
Sport.RO say that Rangers and Roma have agreed on a fee worth £17million for Hagi to swap clubs – making Rangers more than £10million in profit.
What are Rangers fans saying about Roma potentially signing Hagi?
Firstly, it must be said that the credibility of this report is yet to be seen. Roma could well be interested, but £17million seems a bloated price tag.
But judging on what has been reported, Rangers would be making an enormous profit on Hagi. If true, the Gers have got to cash in.
Hagi is a top player. He has been a brilliant signing, shining domestically and in Europe. At 22, he is only going to get better and has bags of potential.
Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Hagi could go for a huge £17million to Mourinho’s Roma, and it is a mixed response.
