A video has emerged on Twitter of Jordan Rossiter’s highlights for League Two side Bury in their 3-0 win over Macclesfield Town last Saturday – and Rangers fans are delighted with his efforts.
Rossiter, 21, joined Bury on loan from Rangers in January. Jamie Barjonas had been on loan at Gigg Lane, but failed to make any kind of impact. Rossiter has since replaced him, with Barjonas going to Raith Rovers.
England youth international Rossiter has since made seven appearances for Bury, starting every single match since going south. He has helped Bury remain unbeaten in the league during six matches.
A video emerged of the former Liverpool man’s highlights from the 3-0 win over Macclesfield Town last weekend. The clip shows Rossiter winning challenge after challenge, starring for Bury in the middle of the park.
Rossiter made tackle after tackle, while his ability to read the game was more than evident with plenty of interceptions. Considering his number of injury woes at Ibrox, his desire to win the ball was refreshing.
The ex-Steven Gerrard teammate has managed just 16 appearances for Rangers since joining the club in 2016. But his loan spell at Bury is certainly promising and could convince Gerrard to keep him.
Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the videos of Barjonas starring for Bury. Many are now looking forward to seeing the midfielder return to Ibrox next season, with one Tweeting: “Rangers captain next season”.
