Borna Barisic completed 90 minutes in the win over Aberdeen on Wednesday night – and many Rangers fans were critical of the defender for his performance.
Steven Gerrard’s side earned a 4-2 victory away from home to help consolidate their position in second of the Scottish Premiership table and remain just six points behind league leaders Celtic.
The Gers had a two-goal cushion at half-time courtesy of goals from Alfredo Morelos (two) and James Tavernier, while Sam Cosgrove netted for the hosts.
Cosgrove added his second quickly after the restart to make it a tight contest, but there was more controversy in this fixture with two red cards shortly after leaving both teams with 10 men for most of the second-half.
Rangers striker Morelos and Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna were both dismissed after a clash between the pair.
Jermain Defoe made sure of the three points though with a fourth in stoppage time for the Light Blues, as he made his mark off the bench in emphatic fashion with a left-footed finish.

A selection of Rangers fans on social media discussed the display of defender Barisic and believe he was off the pace.
The 26-year-old left-back was guilty of losing possession in the build up for Aberdeen’s first goal and was given a tough defensive examination.
He’s been extremely unfortunate with injuries this season, but will hope that it’s behind him now and that he can regain his best form at Ibrox once again.
The Croatian can be a left-sided flyer when he’s at his best, but is perhaps lacking some match sharpness.
