Rangers fans slam Steven Gerrard over John Lundstram decision

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to hit out at the decision made by Steven Gerrard concerning John Lundstram following the Gers’ defeat on Thursday.

Rangers have left themselves with an uphill battle if they hope to get out of their Europa League group.

They were beaten 1-0 by Sparta Prague in a game overshadowed by the disgusting booing of Glen Kamara.

Rangers were bright at times in the first-half. However, the Gers were carved open too easily on a number of occasions. And they were grateful to Allan McGregor for bailing them out at various points.

It was not a night in which any Rangers player particularly shone. And there are concerns about the performance with the Light Blues yet to find their best form this season.

Many have hit out at Gerrard for the decision to leave Lundstram on the bench and not bring him on until the final 13 minutes.

By that stage, Rangers were down to 10 men with Kamara being sent off.

Lundstram has been superb after a tough start to life at Ibrox. And while he was not able to make a huge impact in the Czech Republic, many believe that it was a major error not to bring him on while the game was in the balance.
