Ianis Hagi has posted on Twitter after scoring in Rangers’ 2-0 win over Lech Poznan on Thursday night – and many Rangers supporters have reacted to his performance by sending the Romanian attacker messages, following his initial message.
Steven Gerrard made seven changes to his Rangers side following a 4-0 win over Ross County on Sunday – with Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo retaining their places in the starting line-up under Steven Gerrard.
The Gers were tasked with maintaining an unbeaten run that now stretches to 26 matches, as well as matching Benfica’s result against Standard Liege to finish at the top of the group. They went one better, with Benfica drawing 2-2 with Liege.
Cedric Itten was one of those changes, blasting a beautiful effort into the top corner to give Rangers the lead in the first half. Hagi also scored, heading home from a yard out after Goldson hitting the bar – and Hagi has posted on Twitter.
Hagi, 22, has been in and out of form this season – and has lost his place in the strongest side to Kemar Roofe. But certainly, the £19,000-a-week (Sport.Ro) man has still had a hand in 10 goals during his 20 appearances, scoring twice and creating eight.
Rangers fans reacted to Hagi’s Tweet with the player being in and out of the side and many backed him to get back into Gerrard’s starting eleven – hoping he kicks on after an excellent start during his initial loan period.
