Ryan Kent has posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story as his future at Liverpool continues to dwindle following the end of the English transfer window – and Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter.
Kent, 22, continues to be linked with a move to Rangers – perhaps more so after Leeds United failed to complete a move for the Liverpool star before last Thursday’s deadline hit for Premier League and Championship sides.
The former Barnsley, Coventry, Eintracht Frankurt and Bristol City loanee starred for Rangers last season, scoring six and creating nine for Steven Gerrard’s side – winning the Young Player of the Season award.
The Daily Record claim Liverpool want as much as £12million, and are unwilling to let the winger leave Anfield on another loan. But The Gers will be unable to afford such a figure – meaning Kent may have to stay put.
Kent, perhaps, aimed a dig on Instagram directed towards Liverpool for their unwillingness to let him leave on loan. His post suggests that he is being treated as “merchandise”, rather than a human being.

Kent has limited options. He can wait until September 2 and hope a foreign club comes in for his services on a permanent basis, or look to convince Jurgen Klopp that he needs to be loaned out.
The concern is that Kent may not find a move before September 2’s deadline for foreign clubs, meaning he will remain at Liverpool and likely be forced to play for the Under-23 side. Rangers fans reacted to his Instagram post.
