Rangers fans react to Steven Gerrard’s comments on Ross McCrorie

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Steven Gerrard, and reported by Sky Sports, concerning Ross McCrorie’s Ibrox future.

McCrorie has been linked with a move away from the Gers for a little while. The Scottish Sun reported earlier this week that Rangers had rejected a bid from Hibernian for the 22-year-old.

That report claimed that Hibs may be priced out of a move for McCrorie. But Gerrard has suggested that discussions between the two Scottish Premiership sides are continuing.

Interestingly, Gerrard – who also commented on the future of Greg Docherty – insisted that McCrorie will not be loaned out this summer having previously left Ibrox temporarily.

“We have had some interest from Hibs in Ross McCrorie. Those talks are ongoing. But Ross and Greg will not be going on loan. They have been on two loans. They have done that road,” he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“If we get bids that we like, that are good enough and big enough, we will consider them. But they won’t be going on loan.”

Of course, many Rangers fans are now expecting McCrorie to seal a permanent exit this summer. It does appear that several cannot see the youngster still being a part of Gerrard’s squad beyond the window.

But the general feeling appears to be a sense that, unfortunately, it is probably the right decision from the manager.

McCrorie remains a popular figure amongst the supporters. However, they have their concerns about whether he will be good enough to realise the potential that he showed during his initial run in the first-team.

Rangers boast a lot of depth in the areas McCrorie is challenging for. And they are willing to accept that he would probably be better off moving on during this window.

Here is how some of the fans have reacted to Gerrard’s comments…
