Rangers fans react to reported interest in Alfredo Morelos

Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is reportedly wanted by two Premier League teams – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have responded to laugh off the interest.

The Scottish Sun reports that Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are two sides that are monitoring the 23-year-old.

It is explained that Palace are the team weighing up a potential £20million swoop when the transfer window opens up in January.

But the report details that Gers manager Steven Gerrard has no plans to let him leave during a campaign and wants to keep him in Scotland.

Morelos has chalked up 15 goals in 20 matches across all competitions so far this season and English teams want to bring him across the border.

The Colombia international is renowned for being a clinical finisher around the penalty area and he’s also got an incredible work-rate in the forward line.

His temper has been an issue in the past at Ibrox, but he’s received no red cards this season and is perhaps starting to mature.

Potential suitors Palace are a team that sit sixth in the Premier League table after an excellent start, but they have soccer just eight goals in nine league games so far and look short of quality in attack.

A selection of Gers supporters on social media are convinced a £20million price tag is too low for their top scorer and that they shouldn’t let him depart midway through the season.

A £20million windfall would be a huge sum for the Light Blues, but surely decimate their ongoing title bid.
