Rangers defender Filip Helander has been linked with two Premier League teams – but some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded by insisting he won’t be leaving Ibrox.
Sportbladet reports that English top-flight pair Aston Villa and Leicester City are both interested in the centre-back ahead of this summer transfer window.
It is claimed that they have noticed the 27-year-old after his performances this season, as he’s played a role in the Gers winning the league title.
Helander joined the Scottish giants back in the 2019 summer window, and hasn’t had the easiest of times. The Sweden international was forced to spend a large chuck of time on the sidelines with a foot injury.
Fortunately, he’s played more regularly during his second season with the club, making 27 appearances across all competitions.
The left-footed centre-back isn’t blessed with pace, but he’s a strong passer and a physical unit in the backline.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media are pleading with the club not to allow Helander a move to the Premier League, with one jokingly claiming it should take a transfer fee of £85million for them to grant his sale.
His contract with them isn’t due to expire with them until 2023.
