Rangers moved 11 points clear of their fierce rivals Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership after a 4-0 thumping of Aberdeen at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon. Ryan Kent, Kemar Roofe, Scott Arfield and a James Tavernier penalty secured the win.
The Light Blues secured victory during a rampant first half which saw Steven Gerrard’s men hold a three-goal lead at the interval.
It was a comfortable afternoon for Gerrard who is yet to see his side defeated during 15 Premiership matches during 2020/21; winning 13 and drawing two fixtures.
One man who earned rave reviews for his performance against Aberdeen was the scorer of the Gers’ third goal, Roofe.
He checked in during the summer transfer window and is starting to prove his worth after initially picking up an injury.
His goal against the Dons was his sixth in 11 appearances since arriving at Ibrox from Anderlecht where he spent one season.
Roofe looks like a real ace in Gerrard’s pack and supporters were delighted with his performance on Sunday as he notched another goal.
The 27-year-old striker signed for Rangers for £7 million and is already proving value for money.
Here is what fans were saying after his latest performance for the Gers.
Roofe is the perfect example of how good recruitment works. Struggling in a team that didn’t suit him to thriving in one he suits perfectly. Shane Duffy the opposite. Buy players who fit your style imo.

Occasionally a player arrives in Scotland who you can see almost immediately is just a level above everyone. That’s Kemar Roofe. Genuine quality.

Roofe asked about the league table “Means nothing until the end of the season.” The mentality has been the biggest change this season and it’s superb to see. 👏🏼

What a player Roofe is btw, and I don’t even think he’s firing on all cylinders yet. His movement is unbelievable, he pulls defenders everywhere.

Anyone else getting the feeling that @roofe is a top top professional. Always doing extra by himself. Great to see.
