A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Nathan Patterson after the right-back’s performance in the second-leg of the Gers’ Europa League play-off tie on Thursday.
The Light Blues are into the group-stages of the competition. But their showing against Alashkert this week did not capture the imagination of many of their supporters.

They took a 1-0 lead into the second-leg. And they played out a goalless draw against the Armenian side.
A number of players have been criticised for their performances. But one of those who received a lot of praise was Patterson.

The 19-year-old was one of the unfortunate beneficiaries of the recent outbreak at Ibrox. And he came into the starting lineup.
But he made the most of his opportunities. Plenty of the fans insisted that he was Rangers’ best player.
There are serious concerns about a number of areas within Steven Gerrard’s side.
They have not made the best start to their Scottish Premiership title defence. And of course, no fan needs no reminding of what game lies this coming weekend.
But Patterson has proved to be a shining light for many. He looked confident in possession and linked up well with Ianis Hagi at times throughout the contest.

His stock amongst the Ibrox faithful was already extremely high. And he seems to be putting some serious pressure on James Tavernier.
Certainly, several suggested that he was their best player on Thursday.
