Rangers fans react to John Lundstram display
A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to laud John Lundstram after his display at Ibrox as Steven Gerrard’s side booked their League Cup semi-final spot.
What’s the story?
The Gers won 2-0 on Wednesday, but the scoreline could have been a lot more emphatic against Livingston.
As shown by BBC Sport, Livi failed to have a single attempt on goal or even force a corner.
They did make it to half-time without conceding. But Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos made the game safe after the break.
Ianis Hagi is being lauded by many for changing the game. But plenty of supporters have insisted that Lundstram produced a much improved display.
The 27-year-old only arrived at Rangers in the summer. But he has come in for a lot of criticism.
He has not made the best start to life with the Gers. And it did seem that some supporters had largely written the former Sheffield United man off.
However, he has managed to silence a lot of his doubters with his last few performances for Rangers.
And some even suggested that he was the best player on the pitch against Livi on Wednesday.
Admittedly, a look on social media would suggest that some are still to be convinced about the summer signing. They remain adamant that he has a lot more to prove before he gets close to their strongest lineup.
‘Very good last night’: Rangers fans laud John Lundstram
But some lauded his contribution in the deeper role. He brought a lot of energy to the performance.
And with that in mind, here is what some of the Rangers fans made of Lundstram’s display…
Lundstrum was very good last night. He was arguably our best player against Lyon in a poor performance and when he came on against Ross county he looked good aswell. Sadly some have identified him as the whipping boy and won’t change their opinion

Much more like it, Lundstrum superb & buzzing to see Hagi back doing what he does. Goldson & Balogun has got to be the centre back paring going forward👍🏻 https://t.co/GI1q3EUJc4
