Rangers bounced back from their disappointing Old Firm defeat against Celtic on Sunday to hammer Hearts 3-0 at Ibrox – but fans were sceptical of Joe Worrall’s display at centre-back.
Jermain Defoe replaced the suspended Alfredo Morelos in the Rangers side on Wednesday night, following the Colombian receiving a four-match ban for elbowing Celtic skipper Scott Brown.
It didn’t take long for the veteran striker to score his sixth goal in 13 games for the Teddy Bears. Scott Arfield’s parried effort was volleyed home by Defoe, before Connor Goldson made it two with a well-placed header.

In similar circumstances to the first, Rangers nabbed their third just after the restart. This time it was Defoe who had a shot parried, and Arfield followed up put the game beyond doubt.
Critics have suggested that Rangers struggle to play without top scorer Alfredo Morelos leading the side in attack, but Wednesday night showed they have the creativity and attacking fire power to do just that.
But Rangers fans were still critical of Nottingham Forest loanee Worrall’s display. The 22-year-old has come in for some stick throughout the season, and fans are still not convinced by the loanee.
One fans described the England youth international as a “bomb scare”.
