Rangers fans react on Twitter to Scott Wright’s Scottish Cup display

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Scott Wright as the youngster made his full Gers debut at Ibrox on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard’s side are into the next round of the Scottish Cup after beating Cove Rangers 4-0. All of the damage was done during the first-half, with Jermain Defoe, Kemar Roofe and Nathan Patterson scoring for the Light Blues.

He may not have got on the scoresheet, but the Rangers fans could not hide their excitement about Wright’s display.

The 23-year-old has looked bright when coming off the bench on a number of occasions since joining. But this weekend saw the youngster handed the first chance to show what he could do from the off.

And he certainly grasped the opportunity with both hands. Plenty of supporters have suggested that Wright was the best player on the pitch.

In fact, there were a number of fans who drew comparisons with Brian Laudrup. They were particularly impressed by the way he danced past opponents, often utilising his superb pace.

With the title wrapped up, many fans now want to see Wright given more chances in the league. And they believe that they have produced another transfer masterstroke bringing Wright in at Ibrox.
