A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Ryan Kent’s performance during Sunday’s stalemate.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the Gers. Livingston’s game-plan quickly became apparent as they looked to sit deep and soak up the pressure from the visitors.

Rangers were comfortably on top for attempts on goal. But they did not manage to hit the target until the second-half.

In truth, the Light Blues did not manage to create many clear-cut chances, despite their dominance and attempts on goal.

Alfredo Morelos missed a golden opportunity from a James Tavernier cross. And it was the Colombian who got the ball stuck under his feet on the edge of the six-yard box in the midst of a scramble that was ultimately cleared.

There seemed to be few positives for Rangers fans to take from the game. But Kent’s performance impressed some of the supporters on social media.

The winger could not make the breakthrough. But he did appear to look the most dangerous player for much of the second-half.

He came agonisingly close to curling an effort into the net late on. And that effort somewhat summed up his afternoon: a glimmer of quality that was not quite good enough to make the difference.

Plenty of Rangers fans have taken to social media following the game to suggest that Kent was one of the few players to earn pass marks.

Some were frustrated that he could not make the difference. And perhaps, given the money spent on him, those supporters are right to expect more.

But on an incredibly frustrating afternoon, it is surely fair to say that no player did more to try and drag Rangers to three points than Kent.

Here is how some of the supporters reacted to his display…
