Rangers fans react on Twitter to performance of Jordan Jones during Motherwell win

The Northern Irishman was in fine form the Gers.

Rangers went four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with a resounding 5-1 thrashing of Motherwell at Fir Park.

One man who was handed a rare chance to start was Northern Ireland international Jordan Jones – and it’s fair to say he didn’t disappoint.

The 25-year-old scored the Gers’ second goal in the first half, curling an unstoppable effort beyond the outstretched palm of Trevor Carson.

Jones’ goal was added to by braces from James Tavernier and Swiss striker Cedric Itten, with Rangers in cruise control.

It was Jones who caught the eye though and his performance really highlighted what he is capable of.

Jones arrived at Ibrox from Kilmarnock in the summer of 2019 but injury saw him make just 15 appearances last season, registering two assists.

There had been some talk of Jones being allowed to leave this summer if an offer was forthcoming, although on this showing Steven Gerrard might decide to keep him around.

Supporters were certainly impressed with his performance and after the game, they took to Twitter to discuss how Jones played.

Here is a selection of Tweets from Rangers fans on the standout performance of Jordan Jones.
