Rangers fans react on Twitter to Joe Aribo display

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Joe Aribo after the 25-year-old’s display as the Gers picked up yet another win away from Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this season.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s men looked set to miss the chance to move to seven points clear at the top of the table.

It seemed destined to be another frustrating night for the Light Blues at Easter Road. However, Kemar Roofe scored a late penalty to seal the three points.

It did appear that only a handful of Rangers players received any sort of credit from the supporters on social media.

The Light Blues struggled to test the goalkeeper with the opportunities that they did create before the winner came along.

Aribo however, was one player who received a reasonable amount of praise from the fans. In fact, there are concerns over how often Aribo appears to be some way clear of his teammates with some of his performances.

No Rangers player made more tackles than the Nigeria international, according to Whoscored.

Admittedly, it was not a flawless performance from Aribo. He also struggled at times. And some were not as impressed.

However, he certainly appeared to receive a lot more credit than most of his teammates. He was praised for his work-rate and energy. And many felt that he was one of the better performers up until that late winning goal came along.

Aribo was linked with a move to the Premier League this week. Based on his latest showing, Rangers really cannot afford to let him go.
