Rangers fans react on Twitter to Florian Kamberi’s Europa League display

A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Florian Kamberi’s display after he came on during their Europa League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard’s men went into the break a goal down after a disappointing first-half display. The home side struggled to ask many questions of the Bundesliga outfit.

And with his side showing few signs of improvement after the interval, Gerrard made an early change with Kamberi replacing Joe Aribo.

And the forward’s introduction seemed to make a big difference. He immediately looked bright, dropping deep to get involved in the play and drive Rangers up the field.

And he played an important role in the build-up to a chance for Alfredo Morelos shortly after he came on. The Colombian’s effort was superbly saved at the near post.

He also came desperately close to providing an assist for Morelos shortly after the hour-mark. He won the ball back on the edge of the box and tried to slide his teammate in six yards out. However, Morelos was denied by a brilliant clearance.

Kamberi has been an incredibly positive signing since arriving in January. He has regularly made an impact after coming off the bench.

And despite the result, the supporters have lauded the impact that the 25-year-old made on Thursday night. They felt that his introduction was the catalyst that Rangers were crying out for, even if they could not build on the positivity he brought to the table.
