A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Florian Kamberi’s performance during the Gers’ 1-0 victory over Livingston on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard’s men went into the game knowing that they can hardly afford to lose more ground in the title race after a mixed run of form.
Gers fans have become accustomed to seeing opposition goalkeepers produce inspired performances against the Light Blues this season. And that looked to be the case again as Ryan Schofield produced some outstanding stops.
But Rangers would ultimately break the deadlock just before the hour mark. Ianis Hagi – who continues to impress following his January move – set up Scott Arfield for the game’s only goal.
The strike came just four minutes after Gerrard introduced Kamberi into the mix. The striker – who was brought on with less than 10 minutes remaining in his previous two appearances – replaced Ryan Kent.
And his performance has received a lot of plaudits from the Rangers fans on social media.
Plenty have insisted that the 24-year-old changed the game. And he was unlucky not to open his account for the Gers after putting the ball in the net after 88 minutes. Unfortunately for Kamberi, the offside flag was raised.
It says a lot that many Rangers fans are now hoping that Gerrard hands Kamberi a start on Thursday when the club face Braga in the Europa League.
The supporters will be hoping that the goals will soon follow. But they appear to be excited about what he could do alongside Alfredo Morelos during the coming months.
Here is what some of the fans made of Kamberi’s performance in the win…
Very impressed with Kamberi

Arfield MOTM but Halliday and Hagi both played pretty good as well and Halliday playing through an injury was impressive, not sure what exactly happened to him. Kamberi coming on changed the game, need to start with 2 upfront next game imo. Still need an improved performance.

Kamberi played well when he came on. Got us forward and could link up well. Stewart as well getting about and using the gaping space that was so obviously there before he came on.

Very impressed with kamberi even his link up play and the space it created for others worked for me
Think with Defoe it didn’t gel because defoes lack of physicality but kamberi has it and was as to hold the ball up too
