A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing that Eros Grezda missed a penalty for the reserves in their defeat to Carlisle United on Tuesday.
Grezda’s long-term future appears to lie away from Ibrox. He is yet to play for Steven Gerrard’s side this term, and The Scottish Sun reports that he is unlikely to play for the first-team again after being accused of spitting in a recent reserves game.

But he was involved for Graeme Murty’s men this week as they took on Carlisle. And within four minutes, he had a golden chance to get on the scoresheet.
Rangers were awarded a penalty for handball, and it was the winger who stepped up to take the spot-kick. Unfortunately, Grezda – who cost the Gers £2 million last summer, according to the Daily Record – put his attempt over the bar.

Rangers would go on to lose 2-1 with Jamie Barjonas – who won the penalty in the first place – scoring a screamer for the Light Blues.
But unsurprisingly, it was Grezda who attracted the most attention on social media after the game. Rangers fans have little interest in seeing the Albanian play for the club again, and they have found it extremely amusing that he did miss from the spot in his latest appearance.
Here is what some of the Rangers fans were saying about Grezda after the defeat…
