Rangers fans react on Twitter to Brandon Barker performance in Kilmarnock victory

Rangers continued their unbeaten start to the league season with a 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter gave a special mention to Brandon Barker for his individual performance.

Steven Gerrard’s side sit top of the Scottish Premiership with 13 points from their opening five games and picked up their latest win courtesy of two second-half goals.

Summer signing Kemar Roofe netted the opener shortly after half-time and his first goal for the club, as he latched onto a cross from attack-minded Borna Barisic.

Ryan Kent then wrapped up three points with his goal later in the half and that’s now his third goal of the campaign already.

The Gers travel to Hamilton next weekend in their next fixture and it’s been a positive start to the 2020/21 season.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media felt that Barker deserved a mention for his contribution, as he came in for his first start of the season and caught the eye.

The 23-year-old attacker has struggled so far to really make a name for himself during his first year at Ibrox, but he was really positive against Kilmarnock and looked a threat going forward.

His pace proved a nightmare for the opposition’s defence to handle and it’s a sign that he could end up playing a bigger role under Gerrard this year.
