A number of Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Alfredo Morelos’s performance against St Johnstone – with plenty really beginning to fear the day that the striker leaves Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard’s side followed up their emotional victory on Thursday with a superb second-half performance to win 4-0 at McDiarmid Park. The display after the break was set up by a piece of brilliance from the Colombian.

The 23-year-old latched onto a long pass. With his back facing goal, he produced a brilliant turn to get past the defender and put himself through on the goalkeeper.

Morelos then took full advantage of the opportunity as he unleashed a thunderous drive into the roof of the net. The Saints stopper had no chance. It said it all about the strike that by the time the goalkeeper raised his arm to try and deny Morelos, the ball was already almost across the line.

Morelos proved to be a real catalyst for Rangers’s improvement in the second-half. And his performance was lauded by the supporters on social media.

The forward’s future has been a talking point during almost every window he has spent at Ibrox. And the fans are already fearful that Morelos’s days at Rangers may be numbered as he appears to have found another level this season.
