Rangers appear to have been handed a further boost in a season that is already promising a lot, with Glasgow Live claiming that talks have been held over a new Ibrox deal for Kai Kennedy.

Kennedy’s days with the Gers previously looked numbered. As noted by Glasgow Live, his deal with the Light Blues expires at the end of the season.

It was suggested that previous discussions had stalled. And there was said to be interest from a host of European clubs.

However, it appears that Rangers have made progress. Glasgow Live claims that an agreement is not yet close. But there have been fresh talks, and further discussions are planned.

The news has gone down extremely well amongst a host of Rangers fans on social media. The 18-year-old has been considered one of the club’s brightest prospects for some time.

Of course, there is reportedly work to be done before Kennedy’s future is resolved. But the supporters are delighted to have been given hope.
