Rangers fans react on Twitter as Mark Warburton swoops for former Ibrox pair

It looks as though Mark Warburton is set to use some of his old Rangers links to bring players to his new club, QPR.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, both Lee Wallace and Liam Kelly are set to join the Championship side.

Wallace, a former Ibrox captain, was released by Rangers this summer with Steven Gerrard deciding he was not part of his plans. It came after a controversial end to his captaincy at the Glasgow club.

Kelly joined Livingston from Rangers last summer. The goalkeeper had a brilliant campaign with the club which resulted in a first call-up to the Scotland national team.

Both now look set to join former boss Warburton at Loftus Road and Rangers fans have certainly had their say on the matter.

Many are certainly wishing their former captain all the best. Rangers fans were fairly disappointed in the way the 31-year-old was treated at Ibrox. So seeing he might have a chance to play again under Warburton certainly has Rangers fans happy.

Kelly was highly rated by some Rangers fans and many wanted to see him back at Ibrox at some point in his career. The opinion here is that QPR have snapped up a top goalkeeping talent.

Others, however, quickly pointed out that Warburton was conducting a plan he had in the past at Rangers, by bringing in players he has previous history with. That was a policy that had mixed results at Ibrox.
