Rangers fans were left worried earlier this week when star talent Ross McCrorie headed to Portsmouth on loan.
The Ibrox faithful were concerned over reports suggesting a potential permanent option was included in the season-long loan deal.
The Daily Record reported that Portsmouth had an option to buy the player included in the loan deal.
Considering McCrorie is believed to be a future Rangers captain by fans at Ibrox, this was followed by a degree of panic.
Well Steven Gerrard also shares a similar sentiment. The Rangers boss told the club’s Twitter account in January that McCrorie was a ‘potential future captain’ at Ibrox.
So the Rangers manager has moved to make the situation clear regarding McCrorie’s loan to Fratton Park.

Gerrard told Rangers TV (07/07/2019) that there is ‘no deal’ for the move to be permanent and the move was simply a ‘development’ loan to give McCrorie 40-50 games next season.
Rangers fans are clearly over the moon at the latest update.
Whilst many would have liked McCrorie to have played a part in the first-team this season many are happy to hear he remains in the long-term plans of the manager.
The hope is the Rangers youngster can have a productive season battling for promotion on the South-Coast of England. Then the 21-year-old can return to Rangers and hopefully fulfil his destiny at Ibrox.
