Rangers assistant manager Gary McAllister has claimed during today’s press conference that Ryan Jack could return to action on Boxing Day – and supporters have been reacting to the news.

Steven Gerrard’s deputy was standing in on press duties for the gaffer ahead of tomorrow night’s game against St Johnstone.

Jack has sat out the last three league fixtures for the Gers after picking up an injury.

With that in mind, Gerrard will surely be delighted to have him back as the Gers aim to end Celtic’s dominance.

Rangers are currently 16 points clear of their fierce rivals and it really is their title to throw away.

Jack, 28, had been instrumental prior to picking up his injury, playing 17 games for the club in all competitions.

The news which emerged from McAllister this morning has gone down well with Rangers supporters too.

Jack is a fan favourite at Ibrox and his presence in the team will be felt once he is back.

Fans have been reacting on Twitter and despite Rangers dominating the division, it would seem they can’t wait to have him back.

Here is what they were saying after McAllister’s comment on Jack.
