Rangers have confirmed on their official website that midfielder Jordan Rossiter has joined League One club Fleetwood Town on a season long loan deal.
The deal will apparently go through subject to international clearance and will see Rossiter play under his former Ibrox team-mate Joey Barton, who is now Fleetwood’s manager.
He told Fleetwood’s official website: “I know Joey from Rangers – I also know Clint [Hill] – when they got in touch about Fleetwood, it was the place I wanted to come.
“Jason Holt spoke highly of the club and with us both being at Rangers, he told me all these good things and for me that was enough. I just can’t wait to get started. The club here is very ambitious – look at the facilities and who has come in, they are top of the range.”

Rossiter has a huge amount of talent – at one point he was even touted as Steven Gerrard’s natural successor at Liverpool – but injuries meant he was unable to show it at Ibrox.
Many Rangers fans took to Twitter when the club confirmed his departure on the club’s official account, and many of them are still hopeful that he will come back and make a first of it at Ibrox.
But some feel that they have seen the last of him in a Rangers shirt, fearing that he will depart at the end of the season.
