Jordan Jones helped Kilmarnock finally end their winless run of eight league and cup matches with a 1-0 win away at St. Mirren on Monday night – but Rangers fans were not impressed with their newest signing.
Teenager Liam Millar finally broke the deadlock in Paisley in the 87th minute. Eamonn Brophy latched onto an excellent through ball and he squared to 19-year-old Millar, who tapped home to score his first Killie goal.
Jones, 24, started the match on Monday night. He has been one of the first names on the team sheet under Stevie Clarke this season. But it was not the Northern Ireland international’s night.

He failed to provide much of an impact, despite being renowned for his direct style of play and running at the opposition. He was substituted, replaced by Millar in the 79th minute.
The former Middlesbrough winger has joined Rangers on a pre-contract agreement. It will see him move to Ibrox in the summer, at the end of his current deal. Rangers fans have been keeping an eye on his displays since.
Many watched on as Jones struggled against St. Mirren, and are now concerned that Jones is not good enough for Steven Gerrard’s squad. One fan Tweeted: “I’m not overly keen.”
