Rangers starlet Jamie Barjonas has signed a new contract extension, the club’s official website has confirmed.
Barjonas has put pen to paper on a new one-year extension, keeping him at Rangers until summer 2021. This comes shortly after his promotion to the first-team as he impresses Steven Gerrard.
The 20-year-old will now hope to push on and get some first-team opportunities. After spending time away from Rangers on loan last season, he has had to settle for reserve games so far.

Last season, Barjonas headed to England and spent time with League Two outfit Bury. But after just four appearances for the Shakers, he joined Raith Rovers in January. Barjonas played 11 times for the Scottish League One side, scoring twice.
Barjonas has played nine first-team games for Rangers in his career so far. He has provided one assist. The Scotland youth international is a versatile player who can operate in central midfield or out wide.
After Barjonas’ new contract was announced, Rangers fans decided to share their opinions. Here are some of the best tweets.
