On deadline day, Rangers confirmed that Graham Dorrans had left the club. Rangers’ official website announced that the club and Dorrans had come to a mutual agreement to terminate his contract at Ibrox.

This allows the injury-prone midfielder to move to another club on a free transfer. He will now be weighing up his options with offers likely to come from other Scottish clubs and teams in England.

Dorrans joined Rangers in 2017 but his time in Glasgow has been seriously affected by his injuries. He has been limited to just 23 appearances (and five goals) across his two-year stay with Rangers.

Steven Gerrard has been building his squad and Dorrans does not feature in his plans. With a number of other central midfielders on Rangers’ books, Dorrans has left to reignite his career elsewhere.

The 32-year-old will be hoping to steer clear of injuries with his next venture. He joins Joe Dodoo in leaving on a free transfer while Jake Hastie and Jason Holt departed on loan.
