Daniel Bachmann has claimed his agent has spoken to Rangers about a move to Ibrox this summer at the end of his Kilmarnock loan – and some Rangers fans want him to sign.
The 24-year-old has been in excellent form for Stevie Clarke’s side since breaking past Jamie MacDonald into the starting eleven. Indeed, the Watford loanee remains the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
He has made 22 appearances for Killie, conceding only 20 goals in that time and keeping an impressive 10 clean sheets. He has 12 months remaining on his contract at parent club Watford.
Bachmann told Austrian outlet Laola1 that Rangers have been in contact with his agent ahead of a potential summer move. The Austria Under-21 international does say that he wants to make his mark at Watford.

Asked about contact from Rangers: “There are contacts with my English agent, but now I am concentrating exclusively on Kilmarnock. From June I am again a player of Watford and I want to prevail in the Premier League.”
Rangers currently have Allan McGregor as their first-choice goalkeeper, but he is 38 and it remains to be seen how long he will continue to play. Wes Foderingham is second choice, but his future is up in the air.
Rangers fans reacted to Bachmann’s claim that the Ibrox club had been in contact to sign the former Stoke City goalkeeper, and some Gers fans are keen to see the Austrian colossus put pen to paper.
