Rangers fans react as club reportedly want to offload Brandon Barker

Brandon Barker is reportedly one of two Rangers players that could be sold still in the January transfer window – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have agreed his exit would make sense.

The Daily Record reports that Steven Gerrard’s team are looking to offload the 23-year-old in the final week of the January window.

It is understood that the winger is viewed as surplus to requirements at Ibrox and teams in England have been alerted to his situation.

The report also explains that 25-year-old Jordan Jones is the second Gers player that will be allowed to leave and Rangers want to make room in their squad to try sign one new player.

Barker has only managed 11 appearances since his summer arrival at the Scottish giants and it looks like his brief stay could be over imminently.

The English wide man has not had too many frequent opportunities in the team and has only one goal in 11 appearances in all competitions.

He previously enjoyed a decent time in Scotland during a loan with Hibernian, but hasn’t found the same success with Rangers.

A selection of Rangers supporters on social media have stated they wouldn’t mind seeing Barker go through the exit doors.

There is some real stiff competition to break into the side on a regular basis and he’s not quite managed to find a way of impressing Gerrard.

He did feature in three of the team’s games in the Europa League group stages, but has had just two league appearances since the start of October.

Here are some Rangers fans on the Barker speculation:
