Rangers are reportedly in talks to extend young attacker Josh McPake’s contract at Ibrox amid reported interest from some of Europe’s biggest sides – and Rangers fans have urged their club to get a deal done.
The Daily Record have claimed that 17-year-old McPake is interesting Liverpool, AS Roma and Borussia Monchengladbach, but Rangers have reopened contract talks to keep McPake at the club.
McPake rejected a new deal back in March but Steven Gerrard is said to be a big admirer of the attacker, and is desperate to keep him in Light Blue after an excellent campaign with the Gers reserves.

The youngster’s current contract is set to expire at the end of next season, hence the interest from the likes of Liverpool. But Gerrard is confident a deal can be completed as soon as this week.
Rangers travel to Portugal on an eight-day training camp and Gerrard is hoping an agreement can be struck between McPake and the Scottish club before they travel, despite McPake rejecting a new deal just three months ago.
Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter to the news that their club are reportedly desperate to keep McPake and offer the youngster a new three-year deal, and many are just as keen to see McPake put pen to paper.
