Rangers fans react as club reportedly look to lure £5m winger to Ibrox this month
Rangers are reportedly interested in signing Andreas Skov Olsen, as Gio van Bronckhorst looks to bolster his Ibrox side. Gers fans have reacted on Twitter to Skov Olsen remaining a target, and many are all for his arrival in Glasgow.
The 22-year-old is seriously struggling for confidence at Bologna. Joining the club from Nordsjaelland in 2019, where he scored 27 goals in 51 games – the 15-time Denmark international has only netted three in 69 at Bologna.
This season, he has only started four of his 16 appearances in Serie A – and the four that he has started, he has been subbed off. According to SampNews24, Skov Olsen has asked if he can leave Bologna in the January window.
The report also claims that Rangers are interested. He is a player that Steven Gerrard was looking at during his time in Norwegian football, and it appears Rangers have kept tabs on his progress at Bologna. They are still keen.
What are Rangers fans saying about Bologna star Skov Olsen?
Well, Rangers do need additions out wide. With van Bronckhorst using Joe Aribo in the middle, it leaves just Ryan Kent, Ianis Hagi and Scott Wright is viable options on the flanks. The Gers need another one or two options.
Skov Olsen would be ideal. While he is lacking in confidence, he would surely rediscover that at Ibrox – playing a slightly lesser standard than Serie A football. On a loan-to-buy deal, he could work and Rangers fans agree.
