Rangers are reportedly rivalling some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs in the race to sign Leicester City teenager Dennis Gyamfi, as the right-back’s contract looks set to expire – and Gers supporters have reacted on Twitter.

Rangers have already completed three summer signings, after they announced the signing of Calvin Bassey from Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City. Bassey joins Ianis Hagi and Charlie Lindsay as new signings at Ibrox this summer.

Gyamfi, 18, is the latest to be linked with a move to Rangers. The Daily Record claim the Ghana-born flyer could be brought to Rangers as cover for captain James Tavernier – following the exit of Jon Flanagan after the Englishman’s contract expired.

However, Rangers have hefty competition. This season’s Europa League group stage opponents Feyenoord are interested in signing the youngster, who has only just broken into Leicester’s reserve team.

Down south, Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in signing the player – with his Leicester exit seemingly inevitable as his contract enters its last few weeks. A move to Rangers would see the Gers raid Rodgers for a second time in days.

Rangers supporters reacted to the news on Twitter that they could reportedly sign Gyamfi – who could join the Scottish giants for a nominal compensation fee and many think he would be a good addition.
