Rangers are reportedly looking to sign NK Osijek striker Mirko Maric in the summer window, with Mark Allen extensively scouting the on-fire forward – and Rangers fans have reacted on Twitter.

The Daily Record reckon Rangers could be about to raid Europa League qualifying opponents Osijek for a third time in the space of 12 months. The Gers earlier signed Borna Barisic and Eros Grezda.

Maric, 23, has scored 14 goals in 30 league games and also showed his creativity, laying on six assists. The two-time Croatia international is known for his aerial prowess, strength and contribution to attacking play.

The report claims that Rangers could hold an advantage in luring Maric to Ibrox. That is because the club have formed a strong relationship with agency Argentum Sport, who provide agents for Maric and Grezda.

Rangers currently boast Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe and Kyle Lafferty as options up front. But Morelos’ future is in doubt with Europe likely to come in from all over Europe. Lafferty is said to have become out of favour.

Teddy Bears supporters reacted in their drones on Twitter after reports emerged of Rangers scouting Maric, and some are very excited about the prospect of him joining the club. Others are wary, following Grezda’s struggles.
