Rangers fans rave about £10m-rated ace as Gers beat Real Madrid at Ibrox
Rangers produced an excellent pre-season display to beat Real Madrid on Sunday evening at Ibrox, coming from behind to do so. Isco had given Real Madrid the lead, before second-half goals from Fashion Sakala and Cedric Itten turned the game around. Rangers fans applauded Glen Kamara on Twitter after the match, after his second-half display.
While Rangers are just a week away from beginning the Scottish Premiership campaign, Real Madrid are just starting pre-season. Carlo Ancelotti’s side included a mix of elder players with young stars. Isco, Marcelo, Nacho and Luka Jovic all started at Ibrox, in front of the fans.
What have Rangers fans said about Kamara and his display v Madrid?
It was Isco that put Madrid ahead, prodding the ball into the net despite Rangers boasting numerous chances. Ryan Kent hit the bar, before new signing Sakala showed Rangers fans what he is capable of – scoring just before the hour mark. Itten won the match, after Madrid went down to 10.
Nacho was sent off and Rangers took advantage, Itten continuing a brilliant pre-season with a superb finish on the turn. But it was midfielder Kamara, who impressed. Linked with a £10million move to Arsenal of late, Kamara reminded Rangers fans just what he is all about – and Gers fans praised him.
